Scandi Noir: Research and Development Project
The Scandi Noir project is one of No Comment Theatre's projects. The project sets out to adapt the Scandinavian thriller genre to the stage. In the summer of 2019, Scandi Noir underwent its first phase of development, linking together a creative network that consisted of artists from all over Canada, the UK, and Europe. Throughout two residencies these artists collaborated, devising a plot and unearthing the necessary characters for this story.
The research and development phase is in collaboration with the HIT LAB and the House of International Theatre (HIT) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Many thanks to Michael Wighton, Jeremy Thomas-Poulsen, and everyone at HIT for their support.
